This is a guide to the worstation Qtech of the Applied Quantum Mechanics group

Status

Hardware configuration

QTech is a HP Z 640 workstation. The hardware configuration is

• 2x Intel Xeon E5-2609 v3 (6 core, 15M Cache, 1.90 GHz)
• 32 GB of RAM DDR4 ECC
• 2 x HDD 1 TB, 7200 RPM.
• GPU nVidia Quadro K420
• GPGPU nVidia Tesla K40 (thanks to Dario)

Software configuration

Operative system: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

• Resource manager SLURM
• MATLAB 2015b
• Mathematica 10.3
• Remote desktop TightVNC
• Intel MKL
• Intel compilers for C/C++ e Fortran
• Python 3.5 and Jupyterhub notebook system

A backup service (borgmatic) is active with daily, weekly and monthly incremental backups of the whole system. To recover files and folder please contact the administrator.
